Staff Selection Commission (SSC) holds several recruitment examinations annually for various government job vacancies. Among the most desirable examinations are Combined Graduate Level (CGL), Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examinations. 

SSC CGL 2025 Important Dates

Application Start Date: February 205

Application Deadline: March 2025

Tier 1 Exam: June 2025

Tier 2 Exam: September 2025

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Age Limit: 18-32 years

Selection Process

  1. Tier 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT) with General Awareness, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension.
  2. Tier 2: CBT covering Quantitative Abilities, English Language, Statistics, and General Studies.
  3. Tier 3: Descriptive Paper (Essay/Letter Writing).
  4. Tier 4: Skill Test/Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) for specific posts.

Application Deadline: June 2025

Tier 1 Exam: August  2025

Tier 2 Exam: October 2025

Selection Process

  1. Tier 1: Objective Exam (General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, General Awareness).
  2. Tier 2: Descriptive Paper (Essay/Letter Writing).
  3. Tier 3: Skill Test/Typing Test.
