The Forest Guard & Wildlife Protector Exam is conducted by various state forest department for recruiting the candidates responsible for protecting forests, wildlife and natural resources. There are various process in selection as written examination, physical efficiency test, physical standard test, document verification and the last one medical examination.
Selection Process
In this section we will know the selection process. The Written examination includes multiple choice questions to test the candidates general awareness, reasoning ability, language skills, and the environmental knowledge. Physical efficiency test is to test the candidates physical endurance.
Physical Standard test is for the measurement of height, chest expansion. after clearing all these stages document verification will be done of the selected candidates and then the fitness check will be done.

Syllabus
In this section we will know about the syllabus of the examination in the detailed manner. The general knowledge and current affairs section includes indian history, freedom struggle, geography, Indian polity, governance, economic development and current national and international events.
General science and environmental studies includes basics of physics, chemistry, and biology, ecosystem, biodiversity, climate change and global warming, environmental protection laws, wildlife conservation strategies and the national parks and wildlife sanctuaries.
Mathematics and reasoning ability includes number system, simplification, percentage and ratio, profit and loss, time and distance, mensuration, logical reasoning and analytical ability, series and pattern recognition.
Hindi or regional language as per the state recruitment guidelines candidates have to choose the languages which includes grammar and sentence formation, synonyms and antonyms, idioms and phrases, comprehension passages.
Tn the physical efficiency test includes running, walking for male candidates running for 25 km in 4 hours, and for female candidates running 14 km in 4 hours.
And after this the final merit list is prepared based on the written exam, PET and document verification. And selected candidates will go for the training before being appointed .
