The officials of the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) have released the notification for Probationary Officer (PO)/ Management Trainee (MT) posts. IBPS PO Preliminary Exam will ask total 100 questions for 100 marks and the time limit is 60 minutes. IBPS PO Mains Exam 2025 will ask 155 questions for 200 marks and time limit is 180 minutes (3 hours) and English Language (Letter Writing & Essay) is for 25 marks and time limit is 30 minutes. There is negative marking, where 0.25 marks (or) one quarter will be deducted as penalty for wrong answer. This negative marking is applicable for both prelims and mains examination.

Note Regarding Negative Marking:
- Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable for Online Prelims and Online Mains) Penalty will be charged for wrong answers in objective tests. Corrected marks will be arrived at by deducting 0.25 marks for each question wrongly answered by the fourth ranked candidate or for that question.
- If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is given by the candidate, no penalty will be charged for that question.
IBPS PO Interview Process
Candidates shortlisted in online main examination for CRP- PO/MTXIII will then be called for interview by participating banks and nodal bank in each state/UT with the help of IBPS. Interviews will be held at selected centers. Interviews will be conducted at selected centres. Total Marks for Interview is 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview shall not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates). Weightage (Ratio) of Online Mains Exam and Interview will be 80:20 respectively.
