India Post Office GDS Selection Process 2025
The GDS positions are filled from candidates who appear in system-generated merit lists. A system prepares the Merit list which utilizes 10th standard Secondary School Examination scores. Each of the 23 postal circles will receive its independent merit list through the website https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/.
- The recruitment board selects candidates through a merit list that comes from the system.
- A system-generated merit list is established by evaluating the marks obtained through grade transfer operations of the 10th standard Secondary School Examination scores of approved Boards with a precision of 4 decimals. Each applicant must clear their subjects according to the specific requirements of their approved board.
- The total marks calculation during evaluation for applicants who have 10th standard mark sheet marks and marks with grades and points will include all compulsory subjects and optional subjects except additional subjects. The selection process will favor candidates who achieve higher marks.
- Each compulsory and elective subject (excluding the extra subjects) warrants specific marking which will be calculated using the 9.5 multiplying factor.
