Indian Navy SSC Notification 2026 Course
Course notice for the Indian Navy SSC in 2026. Applications are being accepted from qualified unmarried men and women for the Short Service Commission (SSC) program at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) at Ezhimala, Kerala, starting in January 2026. Candidates must meet the nationality requirements set forth by the Indian government. The following training will be provided to chosen applicants for their particular branches, cadres, and specialisations:
Who Can Apply:
- Candidates having a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 60% who have graduated, post-graduated, or are in their last year.
- Applicants who graduated from such a foreign university, college, or institution with an engineering degree and an aggregate grade point average of 60% or an equivalent CGPA/System.

Selection Procedure:
The selection procedure is as follows:
- The candidates’ normalised scores from the qualifying degree will be used to shortlist their applications. The Indian Navy normalisation equations will be used to normalise the candidates’ marks from the qualifying degree.
- BE/B Tech: Grades up to the fifth semester will be taken into account for SSB shortlisting for applicants who have finished or are in their last year of BE/B Tech.
- Post-Graduate Degree Program: All semester grades will be taken into account for those who have earned an MSc, MCA, MBA, or M Tech. Shortlisting for final-year candidates will be determined by their performance prior to their final year.
- Candidates who are chosen from the final merit list must email officer@navy.gov.in with verification that they completed the qualifying degree with at least 60% of the possible points. Applicants will not be allowed to join the Academy if they do not match the requirements.
- We shall not accept any correspondence in this respect.
- Shortlisted candidates will receive an email or SMS (given by candidates in their application form) informing them of their selection for the SSB interview. It is recommended that candidates wait until the selection process is complete before changing their email address or mobile number.
- Under no circumstances is it acceptable to change the SSB Centre for the interview.
- After receiving the call-up letter, any correspondence pertaining to a change in the SSB dates should be sent to the relevant SSB’s call-up officer. Following notification from IHQ MoD (N) via SMS or email (given by candidates in their application), candidates are required to download the call-up letter.
- In the event that testing during SSB interviews cause any harm, no compensation is permitted.
- If you are applying for a certain type of commission for the first time, you can use an AC three-tier rail fare for the SSB interview. When taking the SSB, candidates must produce a photocopy of the first page of their pass book or check leaf, which contains their name, A/C number and IFSC information.

How to Apply:
With effect from February 8, 2025, candidates must register and complete the application on the Indian Navy website, www.joinindiannavy.gov.in. Candidates can submit documents and fill out their information ahead of time to save time during the application submission window.
Merit List:
Based on the SSB scores for each entry and the number of openings for each entry, a combined merit list would be created. Candidates that pass the medical exam will be hired based on the number of openings in the entrance.
