RPSC RAS Exam Pattern 2025

The combined competitive examination for RPSC RAS 2025 exam will be conducted in two phases: Prelims and Mains. Preliminary stage is qualifying exam and main exam will be selective. To be eligible for the interview stage candidates have to qualify both Prelims and Mains. Below we have discussed RPSC RAS Exam Pattern 2025 in detail.

RPSC RAS Prelims Exam Pattern 2025

Prelims is a screening test and only limited candidates who qualify this round will be called for mains.

  • The questions in the RPSC RAS Prelims Exam will be Multiple-choice questions of 200 marks.
  • The difficulty level will be of graduation level.
  • The RPSC RAS Prelims Exam will consist of only one paper- General Knowledge.
  • The candidates qualifying for Prelims will be issued with admit card for the RPSC Mains Exam.
  • The marks scores in the prelims exam will not be counted in the merit list as this is the screening stage for selecting candidates for Mains Exam.

RPSC RAS Mains Exam Pattern 2025

Candidates who have cleared the preliminary examination are eligible to appear for the main examination. The number of candidates will be based on 15 times the total number of vacancies.

  • The Mains Exam will be a descriptive type paper.
  • There will be 4 papers and all papers are compulsory to be attempted.
  • The difficulty level of GS Papers will be of graduation level. However, the difficulty level of General English and General Hindi will be of higher secondary level.
  • The marks obtained in Mains Exam will be counted in preparing the merit list.
  • There will be 2 Short Questions, 5 Medium Questions, and 10 Long Questions.

RPSC RAS Interview 2025

Only those candidates who clear the RPSC RAS Main Exam will be called for interview. RPSC RAS Interview/Personality Test carries total 100 marks. The final merit list will be based on the marks obtained in the Mains Examination and the Interview Round. The Commission has not discussed any specific syllabus for the Personal Interview Round/Personality Test. In this stage, the candidates’ communication skills, physical fitness, knowledge of the relevant field and specific knowledge of Rajasthani culture will be assessed.
