Indian Railways has authorized 9970 posts for Assistant Loco Pilots (ALP), which is good news for the applicants who missed the ALP recruitment or did not qualify the RRB ALP CBT 1 exam last year. Soon, the official announcement with all the data will be made public.
A news item has been circulating on social media giving information about the provisional RRB ALP vacancies for 2025-2026. As per the notification, 9970 Assistant Loco Pilot posts are expected to be made available in the coming year. This is the expected number of vacancies to be made available after the assessment done by all the zonal railways. Railways usually do not post notifications very frequently, so this will be an ideal opportunity for those who missed out on the RRB ALP recruitment last year.
RRB ALP Vacancy 2025-26 Notice
The announcement of Assistant Loco Pilots (ALP) vacancies is expected to be responded to in 2025, although the notification is not yet officially posted on the official website. There are a minimum of 100 vacancies for North Eastern Railway and a maximum of 1461 for East Coast Railway.
