In this article we are going to know about the SSC Stenographer exam pattern, syllabus and the exam syllabus. Here we will know all the detail about the examination. Lets understand this one by one.

The SSC Stenographer Exam is conducted by the Staff selection commission SSC for the recruitment for Grade C and Grade D stenographer posts in various government departments. The selection process consists of two main stages in which first one is Computer Based Test CBT and a Skill Test in Stenography. 

Exam Pattern

The Computer-Based Test it is an computer based test objective based test with multiple choice questions. It consist of three sections General Intelligence and Reasoning is for the 50 marks and for 50 questions, the general awareness section is of 50 questions for 50 marks, and the english and comprehension is of 100 marks and 100 questions.

The total duration of the CBT is 2 hours in which each correct answer carries one mark and there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks. 

The candidates who are qualified in the CBT must appear for the skill test in Stenography.

Syllabus

In this section we are going to know about the detailed syllabus of the examination, lets understand this in a detailed manner with subject and the sub topics of the each subject.

 It contains various subjects which includes general intelligence and reasoning, general awareness and english language and comprehension. general intelligence contains analogies, similarities and differences, number series, coding decoding, blood relationships, logical venn diagrams, mathematical operations, and the visual memory.

The general awareness contains current affairs, indian history and culture, indian polity, constitution, economical development and sports and awards. And the English language section includes vocabulary, grammar, active and passive voices, speech. \

Selection Process

In this section we will know the overview of the selection process of this examination, following are the selection stages of the examination,

After that the final selection will be done which is based on combined performance of candidates in the CBT and the skill test. After clearing theses two stages candidates will undergo through document verification after that they will receive the appointment letters.
