TNPSC Group 4 Exam 2025 will evaluate candidates for Village Administrative Officer along with Junior Assistant, Junior Executive, Forest Guard, Forest Watcher, Typist, Personal Assistant, Private Secretary, Steno Typist, Receptionist cum Telephone Operator, Milk Recorder, Grade 3, Laboratory Assistant positions. The syllabus for TNPSC Group 4 exam consists of Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test, General Studies and Aptitude and Mental Ability Test. TNPSC Group 4 Exam Pattern 2025

Before all the candidates look at the TNPSC Group 4 syllabus, they should first look at the exam pattern. The selection for Group 4 is based on the written exam only. The written examination will be an objective type (OMR based) offline examination. The exam will be of 3 hours duration and will consist of 200 questions. All questions are multiple choice questions (MCQ type). All the sections will be objective type and their level will be only 10th standard. The TNPSC Group 4 exam paper consists of three subjects, namely,

  1. TNPSC Has incorporated the Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test of SSLC Standard which would consist of 100 questions for 150 marks. 
  2. The general studies section has 75 questions in all from general science, current events, geography, history, politics, economy, etc.
  3. Then comes the Aptitude section with 25 objective questions that test aspirants’ Aptitude & Mental Ability skills.
  4. The General English/ General Tamil section, has been removed by TNPSC as per the revised TNPSC Group 4 Syllabus.

Important Points:

  • The TNPSC Group 4 Prelims Exam will be conducted in offline mode and the total time duration of the exam is 3 hours.
  • The answers are to be marked on the OMR sheet.
  • After conducting the exam successfully, the TNPSC will release the Answer Key of the exam.
  • From the Answer Key candidates get an idea about their score and they can also raise objections.
  • There is no negative marking in the exam.

TNPSC Group 4 Syllabus 2025

The TNPSC Group 4 exam comprises the following sections.

  1. Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test –TNPSC has introduced a Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test for 100 questions for 150 marks. The questions will be asked from the SSC/ class 10th level.
  2. Aptitude and Mental Ability test (SSLC Standard)-There are 25 objective questions in the Aptitude section that test the aspirants’ skills in Aptitude and Mental Ability.
  3. General Studies (SSLC Standard) –The GS section includes 75 questions covering various topics such as general science, current events, geography, history, politics, and the economy.
