TNUSRB SI Exam Pattern 2025
Candidates will be selected on the basis of Tamil Language Eligibility Test and Main Written Examination. The details of the examination pattern for both open and departmental candidates are given below;
For Open Candidates
- The written test consists of two parts: Part 1 for the Tamil Eligibility Test and Part 2 for the Main Written Test.
- Candidates will have to secure 40 marks in Part 1 (Tamil Eligibility Test) and 25 marks (35%) in Part 2.
- The duration of Part 1 is 1 hour and 40 minutes and the duration of Part 2 is 2.5 hours.
- The Tamil Eligibility Test is of qualifying nature while the Main Written Test is of marks.

TNUSRB SI Syllabus And Exam Pattern 2025 for SI Taluk, Ar, TSP
Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) has released TNUSRB Syllabus and Exam Pattern on its website tnusrb.tn.gov.in.
The written examination for selection of Police Sub-Inspector (Taluka, AR and TSP) consists of two parts:
Part 1: Tamil Language Eligibility Test, an objective-type test with 100 questions carrying 100 marks, lasting 100 minutes ( 1 hour 40 minutes). Candidates must score at least 40 marks (40%) to qualify for the main examination.
Part 2: Main Written Examination, comprising two sections:
Part A: General Knowledge, with 80 questions carrying 40 marks.
Part B: Logical Analysis, Numerical Analysis, Psychological Test, Communication Skills , and Information Handling Ability, with 60 questions carrying 30 marks.
The total test marks are 70, and candidates must score at least 25 marks to qualify.
Part I: Tamil Language Eligibility Test (Common for Open Quota and Departmental Quota Candidates)
Key details about the Tamil Language Eligibility Test:

General Knowledge: The Syllabus will be the same as Open Quota Candidates - Part B – (70 Marks – 140 Questions)
Psychology Test: Syllabus of Psychological Test will be same as open quota candidates. In addition to the above, the candidates in the departmental quota will be asked questions on the following police subjects in Part B. Indian Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, Indian Evidence Act, Police Standing Orders and Police Administration.
