The UGC NET Law Exam is organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to find out the qualification of candidates for the positions of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Law. It is a very competitive national-level examination for those seeking a career in academia and research.

In this exam there will be two papers as

Paper 1: General Teaching & Research
Paper 2: Law Subjects

The candidates who will qualify the UGC NET exam will become eligible for the Assistant Professorship or the Junior Research Fellowship in Indian Universities and colleges.

UGC NET Law Selection Process 2025

candidates have to pass the both paper 1 and paper 2, after that the merit list is displayed based on the scores. Candidates who score above the cut-off marks will qualify for the Assistant rulership or Junior Research Fellowship. After that qualified candidates receives UGC NET Certificate.
