The Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level SSC CGL examination is one of the government jobs in India. This exam is conducted annually to recruit the candidates for various group B and Group C post in the central government department like ministers and organizations. This exam consists of the four tires in which each testing the different skills of the candidates.

SSC CGL exam structure
The structure of these examination is as follows
- Tier 1: this will be the Computer Based examination objective based
- Tier 2: it will be also a computer based examination (CBT)
- Tier 3: this will be the descriptive paper which we have to write using the pen and paper
- Tier 4: will be the skill test and computer proficiency test.
Tier 1:Computer Based examination
This is an objective type test consist of the multiple choice questions MCQs and duration for this exam is 60 minutes. Subjects are:
- General Intelligence and reasoning: In the subject the models or topics will be coding decoding blood relation classification puzzle solving analogy statement and assumptions direction sense test Ven diagrams logical sequence of words etc.
- General awareness: In this subject the topics will be current affairs, National and international affairs Indian history and culture Geography economic affairs polity and constitution scientific research in moment and ecology will be the subjects the topic in this subject.
- Quantitative aptitude: in the subject topics will be simplification percentage ratio and proportion data interpretation, time and work also algebra, trigonometry, geometry, profit and loss, mensuration.
- English comprehension: in the subject the topics will be reading comprehension, synonyms and antonyms, sentence correction , idioms and phrases also active and passive voice, direct and indirect speech.
Tier 2: Computer Based Examination
This exam consists of the four papers. The total duration is of 2 hours per paper.
Paper 1: Quantitative Abilities
This paper consists of Number Systems, Time and Distance, Ratio and Proportion, Algebra and Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics and Probability, Data Interpretation and Analysis.
Paper 2: English Language and Comprehension
This paper consists of Vocabulary and Grammar, Sentence Structure, Comprehension, Spotting Errors, Cloze Test, Fill in the Blanks, Para Jumbles, Idioms and Phrases.
Paper 3: Statistics (For Specific Posts Like Statistical Investigator Grade-II)
This paper consists of Collection, Classification, and Representation of Data, Measures of Central Tendency, Measures of Dispersion, Probability Theory, Correlation and Regression, Sampling Theory, Time Series Analysis, Index Numbers.
Paper 4: General Studies (Finance and Economics) (For Specific Posts Like Assistant Audit Officer & Assistant Accounts Officer)
This paper consists of Basics of Micro and Macroeconomics, Indian Economy and Economic Reforms, Government Schemes and Policies, Budgeting and Fiscal Policy, Banking and Financial Institutions, Economic Growth and Development, Inflation and its Impact.
Tier 3: Descriptive Paper (Pen and Paper Mode)
This paper is for testing the candidates writing ability in English or Hindi. The total marks of these paper is 100 marks and the duration will be 60 minutes.
The topics for the exam will be Essay Writing (Current Affairs, Social Issues, Economy, Technology, etc.), Precis Writing, Letter Writing (Formal and Informal), Application Writing.
Tier 4: Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test
