The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh education board (UPBEB). This test is conducted to certify the eligibility of the candidates for the teaching positions for primary and upper primary schools in Uttar Pradesh. 

UTPET Exam Structure

This exam consists of two papers 
Paper 1: this paper is for the candidates who want to teach to primary level
Paper 2: This paper is for the candidates who want to teach to upper primary level.

UPTET Syllabus for Paper 1

In Child Development and pedagogy topics are Learning and Development Theories, Concept of Inclusive Education, Teaching-Learning Process, Influence of Heredity and Environment.

In Language 1 the topics are grammar and vocabulary, unseen passage based questions, language pedagogy and teaching methods for Hindi language.

In the Language 2 the topics are comprehension, sentence formation, language padeagogy and difference between language 1 and 2.

In mathematics the topics are number system & arithmetic, algebra & geometry, data handling and issues in mathematics.

In environmental studies the topics are family and friends, food and shelter, water, travel and things we make and the last one environmental education.

UPTET Syllabus for paper 2

In the Child Development and pedagogy topics will be child psychological and learning theories, motivation and learning and inclusive education for special needs students.

Language 1 contains grammar & vocabulary, pedagogical techniques and reading comprehension.

Language 2 contains advanced grammar and sentence formation, teaching strategies for language development and the writing skills of the candidates.

Mathematics and Science contains Advanced Arithmetic & Algebra, geometry and trigonometry basics, physics chemistry and biology basics.

Social Studies contains Indian history and geography, political science & Indian constitution, teaching methods for social science.
