BHEL Engineer Trainee Selection Process 2025

The selection process for BHEL Engineer Trainee Recruitment 2025 involves two primary stages: a written examination followed by an interview. To be considered for the post of Engineer Trainee in BHEL, candidates must successfully pass both the Computer Based Test (CBT) and the interview. Only candidates who meet the cutoff criteria will proceed, a merit list will be prepared based on the candidates’ examination results. The features of the selection process are as follows:

  1. Computer-Based Test- There shall be 240 questions for 1 mark each to be attempted in 150 minutes. The candidates qualifying this stage will be eligible to appear for the next round.
  2. Interview- Candidates will be invited for the interview based on their merit, in a ratio of 1:7 per vacancy in each discipline and category.

BHEL Engineer Trainee Interview

  • Only candidates who have cleared the written examination will be eligible for the interview.
  • Candidates will be invited for interview in the ratio of 1:7 for each vacant post in each subject and category, as per their merit.
  • Relaxation for Physically Handicapped Candidates: Physically handicapped candidates in their respective categories will be given a relaxation of 25% marks below the cutoff marks to be eligible for the interview.
  • The final selection will be based on the combined merit list, where 75% marks will be given to the marks in the examination and 25% marks will be given to the interview performance.
